Artistically Altered

Photos given a painterly effect in PhotoShop. I don't always know what makes me want to give any particular photo this treatment, but flowers often work very well this way. Sometimes it's a neat background that the extra texture brings out. And honestly, sometimes a less than perfect photo can be 'rescued' with this technique.
